Only just read about this. Can anyone comment on what it will do to older cars who knows a lot more about this stuff than me?

If it is accurate, owners of older cars and bikes are going to have to budget for preventative repair, if indeed this is even possible. Worrying.

There was a thread about this a few months back. Can't remember what it was called but someone posted a link with a full list of cars that would and wouldn't be affected.

ETA: Found it.

America has been running with higher % of ethanol for 10 year or more now and it doesn't seem to effect the older cars out there. This is the same situation when leaded petrol went and there still plenty of cars around that run on unleaded that used to use leaded with either a additive or harden valve seats the same will apply with ethanol.
