surely not, i remember the coated rubber for coloured smoke never really caught on with the chav army

although might have had something to do with the fact they cost £200 a corner

Not if Kevin does it himself with a couple of spray paint cans and a roll of masking tape.

Can't see it taking off tbh - everyone loves the black on black on black look these days, so why ruin the imagine with tyres that aren't black?

most chavs tool around in underpowered corsas and suchlike, which couldn't do a burnout if they wanted to.

hehe Shirley not!

It just doesn't look right does it? It's the same with tyre brands in "colour" on your sidewalls, it should look good because race cars have 'em but it just doesn't confused

It just reminds me of that period in the '80s when people thought that anything "American" was cool-remember that?? Ford capris done up to look like dodge chargers, Dixie air horns, those strange tartan/checked lumberjack jackets & jukeboxes-they always had a friggin tacky jukebox in their living room banging out endless elvis.

I've gone off on a tangent haven't I? Anyways, those lot always painted in the tyre name on the sidewall 'cos Americans did it, & it always looked crap.

As will these-& no one will buy them smile

I can only imagine them being used ('successfully') for show cars - as soon as it's moving any detail in the image is lost.

I can't see it working as the current fashion is to have little sidewalls as possible on the tyre

However i really really hope these do take off in a big way as we will discover why the pneumatic tyre was invented in the first place

I have reflective side walls on my cycle tyres. Doesn't help SMIDSY's but could work with cars.
