Local Aberdeen audio dealer (DF Communications, who have a very good reputation) have not been able to find a hands free phone / iPod solution for my 2005 Cayenne S with CDR 23 and Bose system. Does anyone out there know of a system that would integrate with this combination?
Sorry if this post is in the wrong place - would happily post elsewhere if you point me in the right direction.

I think yoiu have the RSAP (?) system common to the VW Touareg?

It is a pig of a system and works with limited phones.

I was pointed in the direction of the Skoda module which exchanges for the control unit under the passenger seat.

That allows proper bluetooth connections and not the way the system works from the factory.

My Nokia phone worked fine with the standard system as it was a Nokia project to upgrade/change how phones worked/connected to cars.

Dave, Thanks for your note but I think my problem is slightly different. You are referring to SAP Bluetooth (Sim Access Protocol) where the car phone system takes over the sim card on your phone via bluetooth. The system was developed by Nokia and works with even the cheapest Nokia phone (and some other makes) but not with iPhones for example. System is very good because the car phone becomes the aerial for the phone and it takes over your whole phone book and phone history, which is handy, but not so good if you have an iPhone because it is simply not compatible. I know all this because my wife has a Golf with phone prep... and an iPhone! Hence the cheap Nokia in the boot, permanently plugged in to the 12V socket nearby.

My Porsche issue is entirely different. I don't have an original equipment phone system so I was looking for an aftermarket system such as a Parrot. The problem is how to hook it in through the car hifi system (all fibre optics and software mystery) and that is where my guys in Aberdeen drew a blank, despite trying a couple of specialist interface boxes.

Ah well, maybe an excuse for a new car...
