Photoshop Colour Change...

Asking a quick favour for a work colleague.

He has a Scimitar exactly the same as below, but would like to change the colour.

Is there any way one of you photoshop wizards could change it to a dark gunmetal grey? or any other colours you think would look good? I quite like the idea of a really deep ruby red...
