A friend once plated up an old Fiat Panda sill with a Crawford's biscuit tin lid.

Did the job fine and passed an MoT like that. Wish I'd taken a photo!

Funnier than the pictures themselves are the captions! Do they not have someone with an ounce of sense to proof read articles anymore?
