A colleague has mentioned a car he is looking to buy which suits his budget and circumstances it is a Saab 9-3 20l lpt se 2000 on a Y plate with 160k. He says it has full service history and will come with 12 months mot the car is only £900 but i suggested looking in the service file for evidence of a new clutch and if any suspension bushes have been replaced given the mileage - would anyone suggest looking ofr anything else before buying arte there any weak spots on this model?

Cheers!

Check the bulkhead as well - they have a tendency to crack. If he does get a good one, fit the Abbott steering rack clamp - makes a big difference to the handling and reduces chances of the cracking.
