Anyone live in Brighton?

What is the maximum stay on the meters on Holland Road, near the big church, and the charges please?

If all day is not possible, other than the the sea front where is the nearest all day parking?

We often go on Sundays and always park at the NCP in Blackman Street. Its closer to the station than the sea front, but its pleasant walk through the "lanes" to the front. About 10 minute walk if you don't get distracted by the shops.

Its also much better when its busy and the other cars parks are all full.

Normally pay about £6 for about 5-6 hours.

I visited Brighton a number of years back, used a multistorey NCP jobbie. Wasn't too dear iirc. Parking out there is ruddy difficult and they are very militant about it.

Finding a space there is probably more of a challenge I'd think, many of the roads round there have a few pay to park spaces, you can park there all day (no idea of the cost though, we had permits when we lived there).

Alternatively, a reasonable car park a short walk away (just along the seafront): http://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/index.cfm?request=...

Failing that, and if you fancy a longer walk, you can park for free to the north of Old Shoreham Road.

When I used to park for the weekend I used Radinden Manor Road, just under a mile / about 15 mins walk to Holland Road.

Many thanks.

Does that charge apply 24/7 or just between certain times?

Parking gets easier as you go north. It's 4hrs max where you want up to ~Lansdowne Rd, then 11hrs max up to ~Old Shoreham Road, then can be found for free. It is mostly permit holders only though, with a few pay and display bays. It's an annoying place to drive / park.

I live in Hove - There's a car park opposite the town hall that always has space. There are buses from Hove town hall into Brighton every few minutes. Takes about 10 mins or so?

Avoid NCPs in Brighton. They're a rip off - Find the council ones, very reasonable.

Churchill Square shopping centre parking is cheap, and within walking distance of the church.
Either that or find a space on madeira drive. £1/hour IIRC

which church? Don't know of one near holland road?

I've got a free parking pass at one of the council carparks (the one nearest the station) so I don't use the carparks much. There's a tonne of free parking in Hannover if you're near St Peters Church

It's free where I am, but a bit of a trek!
Parking on the outskirts and getting a taxi is an idea. I probably won't need the car while there and it will save having to sort out parking payment every day.
