Hertz on Demand - thoughts?

Anybody used Hertz on demand before? I was having a read of this pay-as-you-go-car scheme while waiting for my hire car and its very much like zip car. Could be useful as they have a few cars near work and home, even a few Alfa Mito’s too.

Have any of you tried this and if so, what did you think? I think at £5 per hour its not a bad deal for me.

Just looked at that, not as cheap as it seems. We need a car in LA for about 5 hours to get from LAX to where we collect a motorhome, its actually cheaper to hire for 24hrs (£32) than for the 5 hours
