Large UK Motor Groups - list
Discussion
Hi Guys,
It's become apparent to me that not all dealers advertise their cars on here, or Autotrader, instead putting their cars initially at least on their own websites.
I thought it might be an idea to start a list of all the "large" UK dealers, so that keen buyers can try and spot a bargain before it goes national. So, let me start and feel free to add your own ..

Never really thought about the numbers before, but nudging £100M from two garages seems pretty good going.
Isn't it?It just conjured up distant mental images of BMW as a relatively small presence in UK motoring with a handful of small independent dealerships (I'm thinking early 80s here, pre-E30, so before my own recollection really, so possibly a rose-tinted view).

Ah, OK, didn't know that.
tload of fleet which will account for a chunk of their turnover.MB Retail looks high too - £1.25Bn - but then Inchcape, considering the numbers of delarships they run, seems comparatively low at £2.1Bn.
Inchcape was the surprise to me too.

MB Retail have 5 or 6 sites, all in the Greater London area.
....and Birmingham and Manchester. I presume it includes the former MB Direct used sites too, and there's 9 of those.LHD said:

They own our local MB & VW dealerships. I've dealt with both of them and they're both *very* hard work.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
