Isn't there an issue with manifolds too or is that my imagination.

I looked closely at them but was put off by the above.

Oh yeah common faults

The ABS/ESP computer goes tits up
The exhaust manifold cracks
The Headlights mist up
The motors for the tailgate screw up
And the turbos go burp

The handling is crap, the ride sucks, the wheels flake,

I had a 2007 model, very disappointed in build quality.

Turbo went during warranty - I was told this was a known problem.

At about 80k had to have new bushes all round, ball joint etc. and the anti-lock brake sensors had rusted on and had to be cut off before work could be carried out. So much for Honda quality.

I'm not impressed with the reliability either. I have a 2.4 petrol rather than the diesel so can't help you with feedback there. The engine is probably the best bit about the one I've got. The auto gearbox failed just out of warranty and cost thousands to replace. The wheels seem prone to flaking, as mentioned above, as I take good care of my cars and mine look awful whereas other cars I have owned for much longer the wheels still look like new, so I don't think it is me! Ball joint failed earlier in the year. Starter motor failed not long ago. Sat nav system packed up a few years ago and never got that fixed as they wanted 1000+. I wouldn't get another.

They are Alpine units and can be sorted out a lot cheaper than that.
