BBC saying fatalities not confirmed.

If any of our resident BiB are dealing with the incident, thanks for the work you do.

Looks like the retards are out in full force again.

I wonder what they'll try blame it on this time? Speed? Fireworks?

None of the above I'm afraid, just stupid people.

I feel for the innocent parties involved.

That's where people are just slowing for the temporary 40mph speed limit is it not?

Might be fog. I did M6/M42/M40 earlier and fog was really thick.

I'm not far from where the incident happened, it was quite misty around 6:00 when I woke up.

Seems the lorry rear ended the coach in foggy conditions.

An eyewitness told the BBC the lorry had hit the coach from behind.

There were foggy conditions in the area and the crash happened on a section of the motorway where roadworks are being carried out.

I live 10 minutes away from there and I don't recall hearing of any accidents on that particular stretch before (between junctions 3 and 4).

They start putting those 'safer' concrete central reservations in and we have one. rolleyes

Can't believe the coach driver decided to stop in lane one under the bridge in fog when a hard shoulder was less that 10 metres away suicidal.

According to the news it was broken down which is fair enough, if it has an air leak or similar then the brakes will lock on meaning it cant be moved. What i cant understand is someone on the coach said they were sat there for 10 mins before the truck hit. Utter madness!

It is sad but I bet that the tachograph will prove that it was nearer to one minute than 10, also another report on the beeb said the coach had no lights or hazards on, but whatever it`s all conjecture except the fatality part. Also if it was 10 minutes what the hell were the passenger still doing on the coach anyway!

The Mail (I know)

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2119618/M5...

Says the HATO took over 12 minutes to get there in which time the crash occured. After the crash the Police took 6 minutes to arrive.

Since when has a broken down bus on the live lane of a motorway become a job a for HATO and not the Police?

No it doesn't. It says a 999 call was made and HA changed the motorway signage.
