I've been seeing plenty of Audi A4 diesel convertibles these past few days. Look like charabancs, it's like being at the seaside circa 1920!

I don't understand these diesel convertibles, but the owners must love getting the top down and hearing that diesel 4 pot grumbling away!

Loads of assorted drop tops today. No less than four MkII MX5s locally.

A lot of interesting cars out in the sunshine including two very nice Ferraris at Cliveden - no idea what model though.

I made sure I shouted wimp at every convertible driver with the roof up as I drove past them with the T-Tops out on the weekend whistle

Saw a lot of common cars with the roof down MR2 Audi A4 etc. Ones of note include a Morgan 4/4, TVR Griffith and a MGB. I also saw approximately 1 million motorbikes today.

I don't see why a convertible has to be a sports car. Why shouldn't you be able to enjoy top down motoring on your econo-box?

I went out for a topdown run in my mk1 mx5 earlier and saw loads of convertibles with roofs down, mainly boxsters.

Saw a couple of 'accessorie' cabs with roofs up though.... dissapointing!

Yes, why wouldn't you want to fold down the roof to hear the glorious diesel clatter?

I only saw one today, but I was only out briefly, but it was an S2000 going topless - I bet the bloke driving was off to have some bloody good fun.

I also saw a few bikes today today, including a lovely 2005 Yamaha R1 with an Akrapovic underseat exhaust, seriously loud and looked stunning with the blue metallic paint.
