Anyone been taking their brave pills this month?:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/tvr-chimaera-non-runner-...

I can't work out if this would be a fun project, or money pit from hell. (actually, i know the answer....)

Someone needs to rescue it! And paint it a decent colour!

Depends on the condition of the chassis,im pretty sure its a body off job to repair the outriggers on chimeras-which would make an expensive fix.
Spend another 2-3k and you could get a sorted one.

Not necessarily.

But its not making a lot of sense when you consider £6-700 for a new roof, price of a respray, Engine work, seals that fail after sitting for so long, and anything else that that was the reason for it not being used in the first place, despite being 'road worthy' when parked..

At its current 3700 that just isn't cheap I don't think.

I paid 5 for mine, which is earlier but is sorted and has a full history and solid chassis.

I'm oooot

Car park is that of Kwik Fit I believe, so that should be enough moral compass to put off many on here.

Hardly a bargain. And why would one let it get to such a state?!

Whoever has paid £3900 for that heap when they could have bought a solid, well known car for around the 5k mark must be on drugs. Respray, new interior, new hood, non-runner, possibly outriggers...

Interestingly, i got up early this morning and did a 7 mile round trip

Not one, but two separate TVR's (unrelated) sat at the side of the road broken down

That is all

Epic bork. I think some people expect eBay to be a bargain whatever the price... This is not.

As has been pointed out elsewhere, the plate is registered on a 1984 TVR and the VIN plate is also wrong.
