Another "what did I see"?

Saw a 2 seat roadster today, bright red, on foreign (?US) plates, in a small Kentish village.
It was a reasonable size, larger than, say, the yardstick MX5. It had a pair of very BMW-esque grilles on the front, but it wasn't a Z8 (or 1, 3, 4). It was much more rounded than those items - and not necessarily BMW in any case. It had a badge on the front which I didn't recognise, but was something like an upside-down Maserati trident.
I only got a glimpse of the back, but at a guess I would say it was vaguely reminiscent of an over-bloated Barchetta.
Perhaps a task for the weekday lot but let's see.
