help: car transport from italy? - Page 1 - General Gassing

Good afternoon PH people,
long story short, I've bought a car in Italy and now I REALLY want it here asap, but doesn't have plates anymore/yet (will be re registered in the UK), so I cannot drive it.
Can anyone suggest a company to transport a car from North Italy, Trento to Suffolk? I've tried to Google it, but I didn't really achieve much.
Can anyone help?

Could it be driven on UK Trade Plates?

To have UK plates I need to first have an MOT...in the UK, so I guess the answer is no frown

But surely it has the Italian equivalent to an MoT?

car was an italian plate, with italian 'mot', to be exported italian plates need to be scrapped. In order to obtain UK plates, DVLA wants a list of documents including UK mot, which not not only guearantee the car is roadworthy (as the italian could), but it's ensuring that lights etc have been adapted for the UK, hence only the UK mot can be used. Trust me, I would have loved to drive back...

Yep, tried that one, but the one listed either they don't do Italy or they do it on a dedicated vehicle, which is REALLY expensive! I found some options on multicar transporter, around the 900/950 mark, but no one can confirm a collection date!
