I don't have an air compressor, I thought there would be something to do this, I can find eletric screwdrivers but nothing for bolts?

Depends on the size of the bolts but I have a few small sockets that fit the hex drive electric screwdriver type of tool. Obviously torque will be limited in this format.

If you don't need loads of torque you can get 1/2" square drive adapters to fit in a drill like this:

Yeah this will be perfect, I can always nip them by hand afterwards. I might see if I can try this method without an adapter and just an extension bar with the socket on the end

A battery powered impact wrench would be better, as it will provide more torque for getting things undone. However you'd want a torque limiting socket for doing things up with, else there's a danger of overdoing things when the impact wrench kicks in when the nut is tight.
