Saw this in the classifieds, still trying to figure how they did it! eek

The only thing I can think is that they four wheel drifted it into a high kerb, but you'd have thought hitting it thta hard would have flipped the car and the roof would be stove in. confused

Owner of Recently 'stanced' Merc finds the limitations to his handling caused by his silly suspension mods?

Or maybe it was just a big slide into a solid kerb in the snow.

You be amazed how little speed is actually required to do that to a modern car. The suspension is now so still laterally, and the tyres such low profile, that 5-10mph sideways will do that. Other than that, the lampost probably stopped it rolling however (look at the telltail vertical bent behind the front wheel ;-)

A friend did something almost exactly the same to his dad's sl500. Overdid the sideways out of a bend, overcorrected, then smashed up the kerb on the other side of the road. Wrote the poor thing off. Cue one awkward phone call.

I can't work that one out either.

I think the Merc slid into a kerb, there are a few videos of people doing it on youtube and you don't need to be going that fast to push the wheels under the car:
