Yet another 'what car' thread
Discussion
Seeing as we all like giving our suggestions (or maybe just an excuse to trawl the classifieds)The time has come to buy Mrs Nw88 a new car, the car to be replaced is a 58 VW Golf R32. From selling the car and putting cash to she has a budget of £20k.
Requirements: Now i am putting it into her words not mine.
It has to be quick.
It has to sound nice (she loves the noise of her Golf)
Relatively new,2008 onwards.
Would love a convertible,but not a must.
She did say some others but i switched off whilst thinking about tempting her with an RS4
So i hand it to you fine people of PH,what car?
I have to drive this car sometimes too,so no micra cc's etc
ETA Where i wrote the car is question instead of the car to be replaced, sorry for any confusion.

20k will get you into one of the best R32s about, i would be looking for immaculate low millage ones on a 59, my 57 DSG with all extras and 50k miles sold for 12k from a VW dealer !
fun car, easy to live with in DSG guise, lovely sound, easy to slide everywhere
shocking fuel economy, i avgd 18mpg on mine, £450 tax disc as well ...
RS4 sounds like a plan
