What is the most unusual car you have seen a towbar fitted too.

Today I saw an MX5 fitted with one, I didn't even know you could get a towbar too fit it

I have pictures somewhere of this from quite a few years ago:

"The awesome power of a Chrysler Viper sports car has been used to pull a caravan to a new world speed record. "

The strangest one I've seen was on a Escort Cosworth. It just seemed wrong to me.

The manual of my Mk2 stated "Not suitable for towing". Neighbours Scimitar towing a car trailer is an unusual sight.

I've seen a Lotus Carlton with one - nearly fitted one to mine but I'd rather cut the bumper in the E38

I'd have thought alot of new cars, especially those a bit unusual or special have tow bars for things like bike racks rather than lugging a 5 berth holiday home from hell.

Did once see an M3 convertible with a towbar and came accross an XJ R tugging a mammoth caravan down the M6 once. Left field but surely an epic petrol heads tow car.

There's a towbar in the accessories catalogue for the Kia Picanto.

Not that many people with the need to just about pull the skin off a rice pudding so I guess they haven't sold many laugh

There was a recent post on here with a photo of an Audi Sport Quattro (SWB) towing a trailer with an..... Audi Sport Quattro rally car on the back.

Aha! I saw a grey ForTwo parked in town with a tow bar. Thought it looked really odd.

I can't say I've ever noticed any Picantos towing, but can see it may be useful to tow a small trailer with garden waste or a large bag of compost occasionaly. Keeps rubbish out of the car too.
This sort of thing:
