Red Logbook Woes

Anybody having problems with the new red logbook? Just went to tax my bike and it won't recognise the old blue logbook to tax it but it will to check the MOT expiry. My S2000 meanwhile is the opposite. I can tax the damn thing with the red logbook but need the old blue logbook to check the MOT expiry. It's driving me mad. Will have to go the post office and see if they will let me tax it with the old log book.
