I have just bought a trailer with Austin Mini 10 inch wheels on it with 145 R10 tyres (presumably no middle number means they are technically 145/100 r10?)
Anyway, having dragged it the 16 miles home we stood it up on end and I was a little bit horrified to see that the inside tyre shoulders are completely split from the tread all the way round

Soooooo it looks like some new tyres are in order. However, after a brief googling session I can only seem to find nice branded tyres for about £50 and upwards, in that size. As they are destined to trundle along on a small unbraked trailer I only want to spend the bare minimum on a pair of oriental ditchfinders - so can anyone tell me where to find el cheapo tyres in that size (or an equivalent such as 165/70)?

thanks,
matt

They'll be 145/80x10, there are suppliers out there but maybe ebay is your friend for a cheap as chips set.

thanks guys but the ones in the link are still about double what I am looking to spend.

How come a tyre garage that is a synonym for "fast installation" can offer tyres from 20 quid in normal hatchback sizes, but these smaller ones are more expensive?

One of my wholesalers claim to supply everything from wheelbarrow tyres to tractor tyres, I give them a call in the morning and test the theory.
