Transferring Private Registration?

I've just bought a car with a private plate.

I've signed the V5 etc, so it's now "mine". It has no tax (so I need to SORN it), and the MOT runs out in a week.

I don't intend on keeping the car (I'm going to break it), so how can I get the plate off the car?

The plate is "W93 YAP", so not really anything special either!

I'm not sure it's worth your while TBH. It's just an old plate - might be of interest to someone with a small yappy dog?
