Also like to know what they think the fire extinguisher and bucket of sand is good for

EYES LEFT
IN THE EVENT OF A SMALL FIRE THEN FIRMLY GRASP THE FIRE EXTINGUSHER, PULL OUT THE PIN AND POINT IT AT THE FIRE.
POINT IT DON'T THROW IT
IN THE EVENT OF A LARGE FIRE STICK YOU HORRIBLE HEAD IN THE BUCKET OF SAND AND HOPE IT GOES AWAY

LOLCan I just ask a genuine question...
If they are talking about going on strike, why do they have to give 7 days notice? What stops them all just saying 'Sod it, let's do it now' and every tanker just stops there and they all go home?
I'm sure they would risk losing their jobs etc.. but are they honestly going to sack every driver out there? Surely they could just do that if they strike anyway?

The law.
That's what I was asking. I don't know the law around strike action and was interested to know what could actually be done if they didn't give the notice.Donatello said:

Their employers could sack them since it would be unauthorised absence; and the tanker drivers know they've got a good thing going at the moment. They don't want to jeopardise their cushy jobs.davepoth said:

This is what I don't understand. If I went on strike (with the required notice?) to moan about my working conditions and my wage, I would be told, in no uncertain terms, to feck off.I heard £45k a year being touted as the average wage? Jesus, my brother in law delivers diesel to farms around North Wales and is on £22k, he would jump at the chance to do the same job for more money!
As was pointed out by other drivers unions, drainage waste, milk and liquid food delivery drivers have the same job, they undergo the same training (including hazardous materials training) and hold the same licences, they are all responsible for their load, and differ only in the circumstance of complete incompetence where one can blow himself up the other can spill milk all over the street.
