I've unfortunately got a screw in the centre of my rear tyre. Can I drive it 0.4 miles on a flat tyre to get it to the repair place? I only need to crawl my way there?

Is this a bad idea? Will I ruin the tyre and the wheel?

I don't have a jack to get the wheel off otherwise I would. Also not got a pump!

Can of tyre weld foam.
Pump it up (borrow a pump).

Or call the AA/RAC.

It is totally down, like resting on the rim, or is there some air left in?

If you've got a bit of air left you probably won't hurt the alloy, but take it easy. In any case, I expect you're gonna ruin the tyre.

Tyre will most likely not be repairable if you do that and you'll risk damage to the wheel for sure.

Beg/borrow/steal a pump or a jack.

pretty sure a quarter mile is enough to ruin the tyre unfortunately. no way you can get even a bit of air in it?

You'll kill it.

Can you not borrow a jack from someone?

Sounds like it's a no go then...

Thanks for the advice - hopefully saved a rather expensive tyre!
