I want to buy a car using Paypal, via my credit card (I am aware of the fees).

However, my sending limit is £500 while the car is more than that!

If I click the "raise my limit" link, it asks me to verify my bank account (not an issue) but then says that funding will be from that bank account, which is not what I want. I want to pay using my credit card.

Any help?

You can't, you can only fund it from a debit card/ bank account as far as I'm aware, due to fraud I imagine.

I have use it before, its the funding method on that paypal account.

I have used it to send money to other people before as well, just not as much as this.

why paypal?

buying something by paypal does not make it any more secure. possibly less if anything as you are paying paypal with your credit card rather than the seller. not sure how the liability would work with the bank if anything went wrong.

are you just trying to find a way to avoid credit card fees? this is the only thing I could think you aredoing that would be sensible.

Well, its a 0% card, and I will get free flights, but the reason is that the vendor accepts paypal but not credit cards directly

You may be best off asking on a paypal forum.

It's very easy to do this, you just need to have the paypal account registered & properly linked to your bank account then you can pay as much as you like with the credit card wink

fairy fluff.

phone them up then. It is an american call centre iirc, so expect some stupidity, but they are generally quite helpful.

Cars aren't eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection.
