Almost any car will do that at 120.

So this is equal to 2 cars colliding at 60 each?

I often wonder exactly what these tests are supposed to show? We know that when you hit a immovable object at high speed things break, but this seems to be a waste of a tidy Focus! As the poster above said, avoid big red and white concrete blocks as they hurt.

I did however enjoy the Mythbusters rocket sled / cutting a car in half, though it wasnt portrayed as some kind of road safety guff.

22 years ago, I had a 60/60 mph head on with another car - he was overtaking a bus over a hill.

I was in a 1988 Astravan and got away with 2 broken ribs - you couldn't have climbed back into the car. Seeing that reminds me of what it looked like. I was one lucky boy that day!

As said above, I would imagine pretty much any car would look like that after a 120 into a concrete wall.

What a load of bullocks. Under what circumstances would one crash with an impact speed of 120mph into something solid and head on?

No, in short!

The reason not is that the concrete block doesn't move backwards with the crash whereas 2 cars in a head on collision would both have a reaction in the opposite (i.e. rearwards) direction.

Another Mythbusters test they did hehe

Quick BAN something

Just ban something anything it doesn't matter if it has any effect on anything

Just ban something

Think of the children

How about banning driving into concrete blocks at 120Mph?

Speeding doesn't kill. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's the real Killer.

Make sure it's something fun and not particularly related that gets banned.

I know what the solution is.

Ban concrete blocks. Make the world a much safer place as we all drive around at 120mph
