Considering its a fortnight now since Maude-gate its quite staggering that so many stations have not been re-stocked.

Tanker drivers may as well go on strike for all the fking difference it'd make.

How can the Smart Roadster only run on one oil companies brand of petrol?

Did Shell sell you the car? Did Shell tell you that? I sense skullduggery.

I hope there's some about around here tomorrow. I'm taking my M3 for MOT and there's only fumes in the tank at the moment. frown

Serious? or guesswork. There has been none available round Birmingham since the day before the strike/panic/fiasco. I've been using Tesco premium stuff and I may well keep on using it since Shell are so f...ing useless.

It has to run on 98. Tend to keep it on Shell as it runs the best on it and gives back the mpg too. Don't have a BP near to us and Tesco fuel doesn't return the mpg. Sainsburys 97 we stay clear of, again mpg woeful on it. Total, is ok I guess, just never use it.

Running the car on Sainsbury's premium at the moment - fuel economy has taken a hit (down from 20.1 city to 18.6) and the engine sounds much rougher.

fking panic buying tts.

Same here, but the local garage was out of V-Power (and Diesel) last week, both had been restocked.

I didn't appreciate how widespread this was. I tried to fillup over the weekend but both my local Shell garages were empty so i settled for BP instead. I was surprised because i drliberately waited a week after the panic

There was no V-Power of either petrol or diesel at the Shell garage at Linton this morning.

But as I don't use it it didn't bother me that much.

Shell are doing few/if any dewliveries of Vpower until the threat of a strike abates. That was from the chap at the local Shell station
