Hello folks, I'm trying to find out a bit more on the Laguna coupe, in paticular the 2.0 diesel 150 variant.

I currently have a 3 series estate 2010 and getting pretty mixed mpg (low to mid 40's in town low 50's motorway - nowhere near what is advertised!)

Does anyone have a Laguna Coupe and if so what mpg are they getting, also whats it like as a car?

I pay for my BMW monthly and the payments are really high, I have been offered a good price for it and an amazing deal on the Laguna especially if they can do the 4 years warranty and servicing (they think they can). Cheers

Have a look at HonestJohn's MPG for a guesstimate, pinch of salt because it's real people, but that should be a good guide.

Great looks, though will always be a Renault so unlikely to 'impress' anyone as is part of the point of a coupe.

I ran a vehicle with that engine in for around 14 months and it was brilliant, not a bad word to say about it.

Long term reliability/build quality could be an issue, but I guess a 48m warranty will cover most of that.

Anybody know of any sites similar to this that look at cars around 10 years old.

My current car isnt even listed and a quick look suggests it only holds data for recent cars.

This might help, pinch of salt caveat applies.

As there is only 1 entry for each model are these claimed figures or averages for all figures submitted by the PH collective?

They are listed by members based on their experience of that car. So were I to list averages for my car they might differ to similar models on there as we all drive in a slightly different way.

thanks chaps on the 150 variant, the pistonheads one is quite interesting although there is no launga Coupe listed - just going by same year hatchback!!

Not so sure about the honest john one as its official is listed by renault as 44.1-64.1mpg and HJ lists it as a lot less and the real column even less than that! Yet the 180 variant is higher mpg which I'm pretty sure wouldn't be!

i've the same engine (2.0dCi / M9R / 150 tune) in the tourer model, albeit i remapped it upon delivery :-)

over 4yrs i've averaged between 39-42mpg depending on how i drive.

if cancelled specifically for a motorway trip, carried at a steady 70mph it will return a reasonable 55mpg, but can plummet if raised to 80-90, likewise with stop-start traffic.

on the plus side, after the infamous PH remap my particular engine makes 189bhp, so there is some potential there to counter what is essentially quite a heavy car...

Try www.spritmonitor.de (there is an english language option). You will need to convert from l/100km to MPG.

Looks like the Laguna coupe 150 diesel does about 36-37mpg.

Aren't Renault dumping the Laguna from their UK lineup?

Might affect residual values in the years to come. (Not that they are that brilliant anyways!)

Nice looking cars, it's a shame that there are very few around (compared to 3 series BMWs for example).

valiant, indeed they are infact have already done so. Any 2012 laguna especially a coupe is not easy to find but they are out there. Our local dealer says the laguna is being dropped from scotland and england and prob ireland, however he say they will always have some availibility. You can get a late 2011 with under 10 k miles for under £15000 and on a pcp with a guarnteed final price to me this is a very tempting deal as it is an interesting car. Any other serious suggestions for the money then?
