Now I'm no clean freak, I usually have the odd empty bottle or two maybe some wrappers in my car. When it gets a bit messy looking, four or five pieces of rubbish I take them all and put in a bin, easy right?
Recently I went in two colleagues cars, one male one female. Quite frankly it was shocking. The guys is just an old french shed and it was discusting. Worse though was the girls, the car is only about six months old and no joke when you sat in it you couldn't see your feet!
Bottles, MaccyDs and who knows what else! yikes

Any mobile skip drivers on here? hehe

SWMBO's car is an ecosystem in delicate balance: nasty germs lurking in every crevice from old food wrappers and horse paraphernalia vs penicillin growing under the seats.

One of my mates is like that, you have to sort of tread down the heap so as to be able to have somewhere to pu your feet. It's not an old banger either. I go ape if anyone eats something in my vehicles & doesn't take their rubbish with them, but then I like all the vents to be in line. getmecoat

I try and keep mine reasonably clean, hoover out and dust etc about once a month. It needs it the now as it's full of work debris etc.

Girl i work with has a 06 astra, she has never cleaned the inside, the carpets are stained various colours and the dash is a different colour thanks to the dirt. I ran my finger down it and it was minging.

Used to be obsessive about the inside of my car when I first started driving 4 years ago or so, would clean it every week and hoover it etc. Now, as long as it's not actually dirty inside I don't bother- it's in a constant state of untidyness and only gets cleaned with it starts to get too dirty!

I try so hard to keep mine tidy, and give it a good clean out about once a month, but I have a 3 year old that has other ideas, and give me a challenge

Funny how women pluck and preen every hair follicle, cover themselves in makeup, nice clothes and fret about how they look yet will drive round in an automated dung heap, the only difference between the front of my wife's car and the back of a council bin lorry is the bloody Adele CD on constant loop.

I have got borderline OCD when it comes to vehicle interiors, both of my cars are cleaned inside and out weekly, work and weather pending, but I hate clutter, any form of rubbish or items that should not be in the car that are left there.

As for my truck cab, it's an 8 year old Scania and it took me 3 hours with an air duster to blow all the stew/dust out of it when I first got it last year, now it's cleaner inside than some of the 61 plates on the fleet, it is always immaculate inside, I have always been this way with my truck, cleaned out at least once per day sometimes twice.

My work van can look like a skip company has been tipping in there i will admit hehe i clear it out as much as is reasonably possible without it becoming another job iykwim. I like jetwashing the front out most hehe

My cars though are pretty much always spotless.

Girlfriends car often has 5 or 6 empty fag boxes in the door pockets for some weird reason along with various random stuff biglaugh she does keep the house immaculate though so if she likes keeping fag boxes in the door pockets she can feel free to do so biglaugh

My Mondeo is literally a shed. It's permanently full of tyres, tools, jerry cans, sweaty race wear, bottles and potions, rusty old spares etc. this is not conductive to a tidy car so it tends to accumulate other general filth like oily old tissues in footwells and screwed up paper etc. what's the point in taking it all out when I'm going to need it all in the car again in two or three weeks.

One of my friends just got a new car, which he has done a commendable job of keeping clean and not smoking in it over the past few months. Previously, he had a proper old banger which is did not give a st about, the rubbish in the passenger footwell and in the footwells behind the front seats was level with the seats themselves. The car was like a mobile bin, literally had not been cleaned inside for years!

I tend to think I don't as it ends up with a bit of dust and some leaves etc. no rubbish though. I apologise to colleagues if it isn't great and they usually look at me like I'm mental! Then I go in their cars: food wrappers; ancient water bottles; random sweaty socks and general crap!

My car is always spotless inside and gets vacced/dressed weekly. The odd time I look inside my wife's car I end up getting the vac out because she's like a tramp with a car!!

I keep my bit of the car clean and tidy. Side pocket emptied regularly, stuff tidy in the boot.

I blame the 11 year old for all rubbish that accummulates and for a 3 week old car, I hate to say it already has dog hairs in it - had to take pup to emergency vet and didn't have time to put the cover over the seats.

Used to clean both cars weekly, inside and out, by hand. Still do the MX5 (easily spend a whole day polishing, etc), the runaround - must try harder!

I usually keep my interior very clean. I have a little dash cleaning sponge that I keep in the glovebox and I usually give the surfaces a wipe down with that every couple of days.

Never have any mess on show inside, though glove box is full of junk.

Front carpets, mats, leather seats, door cards and door shuts all cleaned or vacuumed on a monthly basis.

Dash and windows kept immaculate and cleaned fortnightly when I wash car.

Rear footwell not cleaned as I've got toolboxes in both so never get used or dirty, rear leather seats look like they've never been sat on.

Boot is a mess, got a golf trolley/bag/shoes covered in mud and grass, plus car jack/axle stands along with other random car bits.
