mad though it may seem mad i'm going to have to 'scrap' 5no seven spoke 20" range rover alloys (2005 vogue)!

four are near as new with only the odd small scuff mark - the other has a more serious 'scuff' about 1" long

they come with a full set of rr nuts inc locking ones

no tyres

tried to sell them on here for £250 and not a single enquiry?

so off to the scrap yard this coming week (minus nuts etc - lol!)

each wheel weighs 20kg so what is a reasonable price please?

thanks in anticipation

IIRC I received about £15 per wheel this time last year for some 20 inch Jag rims.

put them on ebay for 150, might get better offers.

Sell them on Ebay, cash on collection only or something.

thanks for your comments

scrap yard will pay £100 for the wheels - can probably sell the nuts for more - lol?

i really can't be arsed with ebay these days - too many chancers who will claim xyz

if they could sell on a forum - fine as i'd rather someone saw them 'in the flesh' so to speak to see what they were buying

so will probably go for £100 to the scrap yard

Would it be better selling them individualy rather than as a set of 5? Someone may want to have a spare.

If you really can't be arsed to make an effort selling them, why are you surprised that the scrappie is your only option?

I don't "get" this mentality.

Also a good idea.

I just said 150 as thats how much my cousin paid for some very decent VW alloys.

Four 'almost new' alloys for a Range Rover and you can't get £250 for them? Surely they are worth more than that, even if you just scrap the st one and sell the rest as a set.

which ones are they? Some of the 'scene' kids might be interested, they seem to be into putting LR and RR wheels on their cars at the moment.

Had a set of alloys knicked from the shed, presumably for scrap. Must be worth something.

Though surely Range Rover wheels are quite shiftable used.
Have you tried any local used car dealers, 4x4 places?

Ebay, sell as collection only. Or try a dedicated Range Rover forum. Many alloy wheel refurb places also buy used alloys.

you have obviously not sold much secondhand gear?

its all in the description - as new/unused etc etc

so someone buys them via ebay and makes a claim that they are not 'as described' - seller is on a 'looser' - buyer gets refund - case closed - your next question?

Gumtree then? Or a Range Rover forum? It must be better than scrapping them.

to put it in context i bought five 2011 wheels with delivery mileage - as new - for less than £600

thats how bad the 'market' is at the moment!
