This has fell off the car what is it?

Hello everyone i think its from the front left, now when i'm turning left i get an awful metal on metall grinding noise. I have had a look under the car but i cant see anything obvious missing.

Car is a MGF

Over to you guys any ideas where it is from?

Looks like a wishbone bush or something from the suspension/anti-roll bar.

Jack the car up and see if the wheel moves when you try and move it.

Looks pretty much identical the anti-roll bar bushes I replaced on the Fiesta last year. Cost was less than a tenner for the two of them.

I'd go for anto roll bush too. Get under the car, you'll see a rod going from one side of the front suspension to the other, probably connected to each suspension via a vertical link. Grab it and try to wiggle it. If you can, then the bush has fallen out. Try both sides.

Looks too chunky and small to be an exhaust hanger, I'm also going for ARB bush or similar. Just festered away and dropped off by the looks.

Not from the front left side of a mid engined car!

I'd go with ARB bush.

I'd guess ARB droplink has brken since that look like part of the link still attached to the bush. The handling will be slghtly affected and I wouldn't keep driving it any futher than your local garage the roll bar and the remains of the link will be battering off the wishbone

Is it split? If not, it cant be an ARB bush unless the complete bar is hanging off.

ARB or droplink if it was any other car, as it's an MG though I dont believe it, nothing ever goes wrong with them according to PH owners
