Is this a new wheel job??

Had to swerve for a dozy bint trying to come into my lane last night and ended up hitting the kerb at about 10-15 mph.
Tyre is fooked but what are your thoughts regarding the wheel?

Should be able to repair/refurb that. Have seen people fix worse, very successfully. Tyre looks like it took a pasting mind you. I'd be more concerned about getting that looked at, or at least keep a close eye on it for bulging etc.

Ive had similar on my old car the main things to get checked are the interior bead and to see if wheel has been pushed out of true if these are fine then the outside can always be repaired/refurbed looking at that its almost identical to mine and that was fine so fingers crossed for you

I think the wheel just looks like a chunk is out of it, but I'd want to have it looked at, check its not cracked or something.

Wheel is 99% certain to be fine. Inspect for the 1% chance of cracking once the trye has been removed.

I wouldn't get a refurb for that. Smooth the edges with a small file and/or emery cloth and touch in with silver paint on a small brush.

They have 2 sides.

Have a look at the inside edge of the wheel and tyre

Cheers for the replies, I have put the spacesaver on as the tyre split has gone down to the canvas, didn't fancy a blow-out! Wheel hasn't cracked when I looked when changing but I'll get the tyre place to check when I get a new tyre.
