Anybody any interesting pics or stories of things they've hit with their cars? biggrin

Here was a little chap that ended his days hanging out of the front of my old Celica biggrin

Apologies to animal huggers (is that a real phrase? smile ) But i'm in a weird mood today :P

I've bagged loads over the years, fox, pheasant, pigeons, badger, cow, hippo, elephant...never took pics though!

Scariest were the rabbits and hedgehog hit while riding my motorcycle. you kind of know you're not going to be knocked off but it's still a little sphincter-tightening!

If only you posted this a week ago, I had a dead bat as a front bumper ornament for some days until he fell off. frown

I once hit a rabbit on the way home from work at 1:30am, stopped thecar and ran back to see what i'd hit (didn't know it was a rabbit, just heard a whack) and i had obviously misjudged the distant I had travelled as i slipped on the rabbit's innards and fell on my arse!

My parents hit a fox which holed the radiator in a Mondeo and my Scout leader wrote off an Escort by running over a sheep. A man I once worked for hit a horse in an old Subaru estate which went up in the air then landed on top of the car behind him flattening the back end of the car. My brother meanwhile had a killer Mk2 Golf GTI which dispatched a badger, a sheep and more with minimal damage limited to a front bumper being pulled off the car.

The biggest thing I've ever hit was a pigeon.

A few years ago my wife came in and asked me to take a look at her car as she's hit a fox and she thought there might so some body damge. The damn thing was stuck in the front of the radiator, stone dead and no damage to the car thank god.

 at this and Pixel Pusher!

Not hit anything myself but my wife managed to run over a rat as it ran across the road - good skills! A badger ripped the bellypan off my brother's GPZ500 yikes (clever little buggers wink )

I always thought that squirels were pretty quick little bds, and that I'd never be able to run one over. The death count stands at two so far, with the first one being the best- I heard the crunch and then looked in my mirror to see its body flattened on to the road with it's bushy tail waving around in the wind.

I nearly obliterated a young deer whilst driving enthusiastically down the country lanes in my RX8. That would have made a right fking mess!

Otherwise it's the usual- rabbits, pheasants and chickens.

I have run over a rabbit once, sounded like twigs snapping. Apart from that had a pheasant fly into my windscreen when I was doing over 60mph, I was suprised it didnt break it as they are not exactly small birds.

My dad hit a pheasant once and drove around with its tail feathers poking out the front grill for over a week. I dont think he wanted to see what was on the other end of them.

I've hit a pheasant (on my driving test no less), several rabbits, and a badger at 60mph. The latter took a big chunk out of my car.

Sadly no pictures..

Don't know the story behind this one, but at a guess, I'd say this guy hit a horse.

Had a dog run out in-front of me on a NSL - didn't end well for the dog and caused significant damage to the car.

The funniest was a suicidal bird that bounced off the bonnet of the car whilst doing ~120 on the 'ring... the poor thing just swooped down into the car and splattered itself all down the car, as i found out when i got back to the parking area.
