Hi I'm looking for some advice. I have an FIA approved Sparco rollcage that I'm fitting to my 205 for trackdays but possibly for hillclimbs or circuit events and want to add a diagonal and harness bars to it but have been warned that this is a mine field and that it my not pass when it get it MSA tested again. The main hoop is 50mm and the rest is 40mm. Can anyone help cause I really want to do the changes but not if it won't pass MSA test. Cheers

You're right to think that modifying an FIA homologated cage voids that homologation, however providing the cage still meets the MSA specs it is allowable for UK MSA events. You need to study the MSA blue book for rollcage material and cage deign specs-by the sound of it your cage should meet those specs-or better still phone the MSA and ask them. I had a cage built and phoned them with some questions about tube sizes and homologation and the guy I spoke to was super helpful and was able to answer all my questions..
Can't remember his name I'm afraid but if I was you I'd phone them to be 100% sure what's what, otherwise you can tie yourself in nots trying to decipher the rule book!
