Afternoon all,

What do people think to driving quads on the road as a weekend toy ?

Something like the above? Anyone got any experiences or input?

Thanks in advance

Been on one of these, v quick on roads, forget the front brakes on tarmac as there is no weight over the front wheels for you tend to lock up with out any decrease in speed, scary at 50+

Good fun though if you live

£4500 will get you an alright kit car or a very nice motorbike, both of which will be a lot more fun, and you'll actually be able to sell when you get sick of them.

Haven't ridden a road biased quad but they look like the handling is crap. If you think that thing looks cool, what about some kind of supermoto?

Off road = death trap, but fun.

On road - Just death trap.
Good advice.

IMO a Smart cabriolet would be a far better safer reasonably fun road vehicle. Quad bikes are inherently unstable and dangerously unsafe. Turning over is so easily induces they are best avoided IMO. I think motorcycles are much safer but as with all motorcycle use the other idiots on the road make the use risky.

I would definitely avoid quads. Turnover is so easily induced: they are unsafe at any speed.
