Spotted on Retro Rides - S type Jag with a bit of MoT for £450. How much cheaper can barges get?

Suspiciously cheap, that.

Maybe not worth the punt on this particular car but an Autotrader search reveals that there are a few sub 1k Jag S-Types around ... didn't realise they'd dropped so low. Not that I'd dare!

Got to say, the 3 litre s type auto holds my "worst car Ive ever driven" title. Gutless, under powered and vague would sum it up imo.

Not surpirised they're so cheap

I have seen a lot worse than that - for £450 surely you cant go wrong if a) you are a half decent home mechanic/tinkerer or b) you know of a cheapish local garage who will do the body repairs etc for not too much.

Got to be worth a punt i would have thought.

For £450 drive it til it breaks and when it does, depending on what fails you could afford to scrap it and sell just the wheels and get your money back!

I wonder how much it would be worth in bits...

My bet is the BBS wheels and leather interior would easily cover the full asking price
