Audi S3 8P vs Elise S2 111S
Discussion
My Dad and I are having a blokes argument (as men do!) about the relative virtues of our chosen set of wheels.
I opened the gambit with a jovial 'my cars faster than yours' statement before actually reading up on the relative stats. I followed this up with a 'actually they're pretty equal in performance with decent handling in the corners'.
I have an Elise S2 111S and my Dad has the new shape (8P?) S3 with a remap.
As we're not ever going to 'race' each other or anything daft like that I just wondered what you thought of the relative merits of each car.
Which one would be fastest round a fairly normal track with a mixture of long straights and twisty bits?
Please remember, this isn't serious, it's just a Father and Son bragging match. We've not picked our cars for the above reasons

On a wet B road the Audi as a rule of thumb I'd imagine would feel more planted and inspire more confidence whereas on a track the S3 (well mine does) feels very detached compared to something like an Elise therefore I'd imagine the Elise would be slightly quicker around somewhere like Brandshatch.... it would certainly be alot more fun to drive on track.
This is all depending on driver, tyres etc...
