New Transit revealed
Discussion
It doesn't look like a Transit, but that doesn't necessarily make it a bad van. Looks a bit generic like any other van now sadly (Renaults especially have been doing the smooth-face thing for ages), but other than that I quite like it.
Can't wait to see the proper size Transits with this face, certainly that's the one we'll be buying to replace our current-gen Transits with. This one is the smaller one, like just a step up from the Connect and we need HiTop LWB versions.

That's a very feminine looking van. Looks like a people carrier.
Thats exactly the intention. Interesting interview with their head of commercial vehicles on Radio 2 last night. Very clear that they are targeting the 'lifestyle' (cough, VW Transporter/Caravelle) market, the new one is supposed to be more feminine, more car like inside and to drive, yet supposedly still retain what makes it a Transit Van.
They will be coming with all sorts of stop-start, efficiency, bluetooth, internet, lifetyle-y modern eco nonsense too... so no doubt the price is going up.
Hope it goes well, not entirely convinced myself.

Looks expensive to fix when it inevitably gets damaged on a building site. Why can’t they just build some solid and reliable that will be of actual use to industry?
indeed.... this is what the front of a van should look like

Solid metal bumpers front and rear to take all of the knocks, bashes and abuse a tradesman will throw at it.
I can see the yanks offering plenty of upgrades when it goes on sale there.
