Hello, been browsing the classifieds for about 3-4 weeks now trying to make a decision on my next car with a tight budget. I have upto 2.5k to spend and need something with a reasonably big boot (enough to fit a medium sized dog and a few suitcases). However, it needs to have a decent amount of acceleration.

At the moment I am considering an octavia vrs and a saab 9-5 aero. Both meet my requirements and are within my budget. Just wanted to post here before making a decision to see if anyone could add anything else to the equation?

All ideas appreciated. Thanks in advance smile

Hows about one of these.....the spec is amazing and it's gonna go for ever being a Honda. Quite nice motor's are the 2.4's for a 4pot imo.

You may not want to hear this, but I wouldn't buy a Saab 9-5 Aero on a "tight budget"!

I assume you need an estate or maybe large hatch, having mentioned a dog? I was going to suggest a Jetta but maybe the dog would need a torch.

+1 for the Accord

Either that or the Octavia for me, test drive them both, then decide which one you want.
