Cars been up for sale for a week.I'd had this thought about getting something more sensible to help with DIY etc as I'm currently buying a house. I thought with a fresh MOT and being springtime it made sense to sell. I'd already decided what I was gonna replace it with too, a car that I thought was 'ok' but didnt exactly set me racing.

Yesterday added some nice photos of mine after a wash. Twinge in the back of my mind, it did look lovely. And I have just spent a fortune rebuilding the suspension and brakes. Why let someone else have all the benefit?

Had to text a viewer today to tell him I'd changed my mind, I cant bear to sell it. He was very understanding luckily - a previous owner who'd sold his to pay for 'sensible' things, and now wanted one back!

I think the difference was, I wasn't selling it to be replace with what I really want. Money is tight at the moment obviously, so maybe best to stick with what I know for a bit, then later when I can afford to buy what I really desire, then make the change...

I better go drive it now, to make up!

Ive never bottled out of selling / part-exing any of my cars but I do regret not having £2.5k so I didnt have to part-ex. The car was nothing special to most people, just a 2001 Focus Collection (pics in my garage), but I had it the way I wanted it. I got rid to get a Mondeo ST TDCi as I wanted better mpg, more power & a bigger car. I realy liked my Focus and still want it back 4 years on, X412GDV was the reg if its for sale.
