Best place to get a car suitable for a wheelchair?

Apologies for the unexciting topic but I need to buy my parents a car that can be used with a wheelchair. My Dad has had a stroke and can no longer walk and my Mum needs a car to ferry him around in. I'm a car bore, but have never strayed in to the disability world...

There are specialists who can convert a run of the mill car and taylor it to the clients needs. Obviously some cars offer a little more scope and practicality. Any of the small van based cars (berlingo for example).
They can install everything from hand controls to wheelchair/mobility scooter hoists. Some of these specialists also sell some second hand cars which have already been converted. This is because the 2nd hand market for heavily adapted vehicles is quite niche so this is sometimes a popular way for someone to sell on their cars as and when their disability needs detieriate/change.
