Yes it's from B'Ham and is obviously being sold by a trader off his drive....

BUT it's a 5l V8....had TAX and MOT!!!....and looks good!

875 seems a billy bargain! Its even the dictator spec SEL!!

I've had a W126 before (SEC) which I bought blind off ebay and it was a stunner.....soooo tempted! Surely you couldnt loose for less than 900 notes??

Ummmm thats lovely!!

...and nobody that photographs their car in such a location, with a 'little hanging basket of roses' airfreshener could possibly be a bad person.

Get it bought.

It's a GREAT looking motor.

The problem is some of the "small" problems will cost a lot to get right. Parts will not be cheap.

Has an ebay feedback of all of 5, and says no zero feedbackers. Hmmm. Pot, kettle.

I had one of these for a while about 15 years ago - it would be immoral to try and talk you out of it. Get it bought!

Talking you out of buying this wouldn't be of any benefit to anybody. You have already owned a C126 so you have previous form - no good trying to clean up your act now. smile

You would lose more than the purchase price on that Merc in the first month's depreciation on a new eco-box. Besides, having started a thread on the Merc, you will be in a much better position when you inevitably need to sell it on in 6 months' time hehe

None of them will inhibit wafting though and if it breaks or is FUBAR by MOT time surely I could sell it in bits for 800 quid?

I've purchased less practical / more expensive cars than that on a whim so all I can say is get on and buy it before I get tempted wink

Assuming it does more than a 1000 miles without fking up then that's cheaper than the hire cars I often get lumbered with and has to be worth 150 quid scrap.

Buy it.

Nothing negative about that. Pure class. That car will still be around when most of the uk in under water.
Only negative will have to be fuel consumption, but LPG convert it add a private plate and you look like a dictator.
Add some little flags to the front of the wings and no one would know.

Enjoy it.

I had a 280CE a while back. Fantastic car....
