Being such an immensely special and valuable machine it's only natural that the owner wanted to take up two parking spaces to dissuade anyone from parking within door's reach of it.

It actually seems to be a depressingly common thing among people who are a bit too houseproud with their car - you often see cars parked in some deserted corner of the car park, deliberately taking up several space so no one can park near it. Round here it seems to be predominantly large Mercs or Audis with drug dealer tints.

It should be. It fails to comply. I somehow doubt the owner gives a toss. Based on their absence of any appreciation of attractive transport.
