Premium Brands
Discussion
Well, if my personal experience is anything to go by with regard to ownership experience and problems / issues, having owned all these cars for 4 years plus:
Porsche (911) - a bit woeful, lovely car but SO many things went wrong, so 5/10
Jeep Wrangler YJ - bulletproof, 9/10
Volvo S40 T4 - similarly bulletproof, but two niggles (heater motor and turbo oil feed pipe) 8/10
Ford Fiestas, Mk3 and Mk4 - I did mega mileages and NOTHING went wrong with either, so 10/10
Current Skoda Octavia VRS - same as above - 10/10
Bet you didn't think you'd see Ford and Skoda in the list of premium brands, eh?!

AM
Mercedes
Lamborghini
Porsche Vey well balanced between performance and prestige imo
Ferrari
Audi Slipping in recent years, heard many mechanical horror stories
Bentley Chav/footballer brand, people with any taste buy Rolls instead.
Jaguar Not so keen on the new cars
Lotus Not supposed to be a premium brand imo
BMW See far too many on the roads today(especially bargain basement 318
All my opinion, no offence to anyone intended
