Another what car thread!
Discussion
The time has come to get rid of the MR2. As much as I like it the majority of my driving is commuting to and from work in heavy traffic combined with a bit of motorway driving and the odd long journey to visit friends. The MR2 isn't ideal for any of the above really and I never get a chance to use it for what it was designed for.
I'm looking for something comfortable, newer with reasonable poke. I don't want to spend any more than a grand (maybe a little more for the right car) but so far have a few contenders:
MG ZT 180
Saab 9-3
Saab 9-5
Vectra V6
Mondeo ST200
BMW 528i
You get the idea. Any feedback on the above or other suggestions welcome!

Jag X-Type 3.0 Manual?
It's like an ST220 but a bit quicker off the line and (probably) cheaper to insure.
231 Bhp, Permanent AWD, 0-60 mph in 6.6 secs.
I loved mine.
ETA: Here are some pics of mine when I sold at 125k miles for well short of £2000. It hides the miles well!

Hmmm not a bad suggestion actually, although I managed to find just one for a grand!
S Classes, Big 7's come with big running costs unfortunately!
