I find that with subjects like this at least 90% of what's posted on the net is posted by imbeciles, and therefore best ignored.

Thanks for your efforts.

Try the double-sided sticky pads they sell in Halfords for attaching numberplates. They work very well.

Well yeah you can use Horse-mincer Pan instead if you like but I thought that went without saying.

:cough:

Just to clarify - what I meant with the imbecile comment was that most of what you find by searching Google is best ignored. Obviously this doesn't apply to PH as we're all holders of numerous directorships and therefore geniuses smile

The only reliable way is by buying 3M Automtive tape off ebay in the USA. It is viciously clingy stuff and what they use over there to stick anything from badges to spoilers onto cars. Trouble is the shipping tends to be very expensive but it is worth it.

I have tried buying allegedly super-strength double-sided tape from the UK but it's utter rubbish.

What badges are they? Would it not be easier to just pop to down to a dealer and buy some new ones that will include the adhessive stuff to just stick on.

It's an 06 plate Fester so I doubt whether he'd be able to buy new ones to match, but maybe it's worth a check.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll pass them on.

Ford will sell any and all badges and every tiny clip on the car for at least 10 years.

Use a couple of long nails. Long ones are best as you can hammer them through, then bend the ends over so they don't come loose.

This isa good plan but you need to be careful if using galvanized nails that you don't end up with sacrificial corrosion. Prepare a 2" ring around each badge with red lead paint then cover the whole lot with a good layer of bitumen after.

Should be pennies for the badges then. Pop down to the local ford parts desk. Might have to be orderd in but wont be hard to get hold of. I know peugeot can get all the badges no problem so dont see why you would have any trouble with a fiesta.
