Using brake cleaner as pre paint preperation

Dont know about painting, but it definitely is not a good move if you plan on welding anything. Residual brake cleaner combined with the argon from MIG/TIG welding will form phosphene gas, which is extremely lethal.

Didnt cause me any problems when I used it.

I used it last time I painted, no problems at all, the surface will be free from grease and dirt. I would use it again.
