Tow bar electrics with LED lights?
Discussion
My parents are looking at buying a new tow car and are pretty sold on a disco 4. The caravan has LED lights and land rovers brochure says that their tow bar electrics are not suitable for LED lights.
So far from a bit of googling all I can see as a solution is fitting resistors in the caravan to simulate the load created by a normal filament bulb. Does anyone know if there's an easier solution as I can see fitting resistors and digging in the caravan for where to fit them will be a right PITA?

I`d have thought the caravan manufacturer would`ve ensured their van would be compatible with all possible (probable)towing vehicles?
It appears strange that they`ve made a van that has caused potential customers problems by sticking LED lights on the back of it?
By the way, I know very little about the mysterious world of caravanning......

Could be to do with the car sensing a zero load on the lighting circuit for the caravan due to the LEDs drawing very little power. They may need a load resistor of the appropriate wattage to "trick" the car in to thinking there is a bulb connected. Just make sure it is a proper automotive resistor, with a decent heatsink and weather proofed.

This is the solution I've found from a quick google. Not sure how many we'd need and how or where to fit them.I was wondering if anyone knows if there was an option other than this.
For example if you can have a different tow bar fitted which already simulates said load?
