Mainly going out to DanDC5 ;P
As some of you may know i was in the market for a small hot hatch but have been swayed to getting a dc5 - keeps me from getting finance and also it has a great drivers appeal!
Now would i be stupid to use this as a daily driver? Could do with what to look out for too.
Thanks!

We've had ours getting on for 5 years and done about 20,000 miles.
All its needed in that time is a battery and new discs/pads. They are amazingly reliable due to being made at the time that Honda were at their best.
What is going against them now is rust. Rear arches and around the filler cap in particular, but they had zero underseal on import so could go anywhere really if its not been done.
Wouldn't be much different to running a Civic EP3 on a daily basis really. Similar fuel consumption, though Insurance likely to be more. Ride may be slightly harder.

Ride is easily sorted with a set of eibach springs. I find them much better than standard anyway.
Also fuel consumption for me is better than it was on my Civic, only slightly but still better.
Until I moved a year and a bit back I was doing a 70 mile round trip to work every day and the car never missed a beat.
I was considering getting rid of mine but after a new clutch, flywheel, brakes all round with braided hoses and moving back to 17 inch wheels from 18s I have fallen in love with mine all over again. Had it for coming on 4 years now.
