Subaru BRZ vs Ford Mustang vid.

Found this on youtube its a few days old so sorry if its a repost, its a bit dry but theres some good info in there and quite a relevant feel vs power theme which is where brz/gt86 threads seem to end up.

Interesting choice in the V6 - surprisingly ( E36 M3 ) quick considering it seems a big old thing.

Both cars have got their charms it seems and they were both taken with the Scoob.

The scenery and track footage has got me wishing for those hot summer mornings and some Welsh roads though

Ive got the welsh roads ten yards from my door, my commute to work is through the brecon beacons. Unfortunately i also have a lake where my garden used to be and the road would be better described as a river bed. Even worse the bloody english news keeps mocking us with their hose pipe bans.

The BRZ has some tough competition in america it would seem even at less than $30,000.

Also thought that was great- echos my experience of driving a contemporary Mustang albeit a 2010 GT ie V8 which has not much more poke than the 2011 onwards V6.

Weather will get sunnier soon ....... anyway, I can't complain...... had a great run from Clun to Kerry at the weekend.

I thought it was a good vid as a mixture of great roads and a track, i expected the americans to be obsessed with extra power, displacement and the domestic car crushing the import though it ended up being a well balanced piece with pros and cons for both vehicles. Its a shame ford dont try and move a few rhd mustangs especially with the smaller v6 although the lack of sales seen by 370z suggests they are probably wise not bothering. Just been looking at finance deals for the gt86 but at £400pm i think i'll have to dial down the enthusiasm and wait for a 3yr old second hand one.

350Z/370Z would have sold a whole lot better with 4 seats IMO. Lots of school run Mums round here had RX8s and BM 3-coops.

Be interesting to see what happens to BRZ/GT values.....

Well the BRZ isnt quite as much of a four seater as the rx8, hopefully still big enough to sell well.

The next Mustang looks like it is going to be a "world car" with more Mondeo-esque cues and a turbo four in the line-up - though the new 5.0 V8 will still be there and doubtless the 650hp Shelby too.

It will likely get a bit smaller, a bit less distinctive, lose it's unique appeal and became another normal car. Shame.

Lots of Mums manage with Minis so I imagine a few of the ones who ( or maybe their husbands ) opted into an RX8 will go for one

Ive thought the modern ones are a little on the chunky looking side so a lighter slimmer version i think would be good but to give it mondeo like appeal and a turbo 4 i think they could have used a different model name and left the pony as it is. I have only seen one of the newer model ones on a uk road and they do have some presence.
